Wood can flex, warp, swell, or change shape over time due to temperature, humidity, and normal wear. This can affect the accuracy and consistency of the playing surface.Why Can't a Wood-Top Table Be Professionally Refelted?Professional pool table refelting requires the cloth to be stretched tightly and evenly across the playing surface. On a slate table, the rigid slate provides the solid foundation needed for proper installation.With many wood-top tables, removing the existing cloth can damage or expose the underlying playing surface, and the wood may not provide a sufficiently stable foundation for the cloth to be properly stretched. As a result, traditional professional refelting is not recommended for wood-top tables.

If your table has a built-in drop pocket or opening, you may be able to see the edge of the slate through the opening.Slate is a heavy, solid stone and is typically installed in one, three, or four sections, depending on the table.If you’re still unsure, we’re happy to help! Yes! We provide on-site service for both arcade games and pool tables. In most cases, there is no need to transport your game or pool table to us. We come directly to the property where the equipment is located to diagnose and service the issue.Our standard service call fee is $150, before sales tax. If parts or additional materials are needed to complete the repair, those costs will be in addition to the service call fee. We’ll keep you informed of any additional parts or costs needed before proceeding whenever possible.
